love,the bible uses 3 words to describe love,or 3 types of love. agape,which is the loving in equal to the way you love yourself.but I tend to think its really loving more than you love yourself.its the love that jesus showed by dying for us all.then ters phileo,a acts of kindness,and thoughtfullness, type love.where we befriend people and seek to do acts that show thoughtfullness.then thers eros,which is the love beween a husband and wife,aka erotic love.I personally believe that 1 corinthians chapter 13 gives the best defintion though. THOUGH I SPEAK WITH THE TONGUES OF MEN AND OF ANGELS,BUT HAVE NOT LOVE,I HAVE BECOME SOUNDING BRASS OR CLANGING CYMBAL.AND THOUGH I HAVE THE GIFT OF PROPHECY, AND UNDERSTAND ALL MYSTERIES AND ALL KNOWLEDGE,AND THOUGH I HAVE ALL FAITH,SO THAT I COULD REMOVE NOUNTAINS,BUT HAVE NOT LOVE,I,AM NOTHING.AND THOUGH I BESTOWALL MY GOODS TO FEED THE POOR,AND THOUGHI GIVE MY BODY TO BE BURNED,BUT HAVE NOT LOVE,IT PROFITS ME NOTHING.LOVE SUFFERS LONG,LOVE DOES NOT ENVY,LOVE DOES NOT PARADE ITSELF,IS NOT PUFFED UP.DOES NOT BEHAVE RUDELY.DOES NOT SEEK IT,S OWN,IS NOT PROVOKED,THINKS NO EVIL.DOES NOT REJOICE IN INIQUITY,BUT REJOICES IN THE TRUTH.BEARS ALL THINGS,BELIEVES ALL THINGS,HOPES ALL THINGS,ENDURES ALL THINGS. LOVE NEVER FAILS. it goes on to say that everything else will fail,prophecies,knowledge will fanish away. and ending with thers is faith,hope and love,and of these the greatest is love. this is so true though everything around us may falter,we can always be assured of Gods love.and be certain that the love we show to the world should always reflect his love.to his glory and honor.for he is our GOD,OUR
