Hallelujah
Hallelujah
In 1994, I found my way to the Lord
He was in a strip mall, behind a rental space door
He was relocating, a Pastor and His church
And I was looking for something; no clue of the search
The folks welcomed me in with a handshake and a pat on the back
God knew what He was doing; getting me on track
And I listened to the Pastor’s message; tears filled my eyes
I was headed to Hell; that part was no surprise
But I heard how God loved me and sent His only Son
To pay the penalty for my sins; to reconcile, this one
He sent me His personal invitation, to come and dine
And at the ripe ole age of thirty six; I realized, it was time
The Pastor called us to come, but I simply could not move
Satan had his hold on me; like nails in my shoes
I opening up my tear filled eyes; and saw the Pastor there
Saying, if for some reason you can’t come; pray with me this prayer
So I opened up my mouth; prayed those simple words
Now, I don’t know what happened; but a loud hallelujah, was heard
And that’s the way it was for me; that Christmas Day in 94
Could I interest you, in that simple prayer and introduce you, to my Lord?

What a tribute Irv, to your day of liberation, from this old world into
a new life! It was a refreshing poem to read. Take Care (tc).
