Parents' Responsibilities
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, and with all your strength.
And these words which I command you today shall be in your
heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children,
and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when
you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up."

We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD,
his power, and the wonders he has done. He decreed statutes for Jacob
and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers
to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even
the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their
children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget
his deeds but would keep his commands.
Psalm 78:4-7 NIV

And now a word to you fathers. Don't make your children angry by the
way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and
instruction approved by the Lord.

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become
convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how
from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to
make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
