Patience
O Heavenly Father, let me hear Thy still small voice
Decisions come right and left; I waver in my choice
Please O Heavenly Father, give my heart that rest that peace
For my soul stirs within me, speak that it might cease
Help me O Heavenly Father; I’m afraid, I’ll choose unwise
Bring Thy presents unto me O Lord, enlighten my mind’s eye
Help me O Heavenly Father, for my patience longs to move
Help me not to snatch it back; while I wait for You to choose
My restless heart beating, is the only sound I’ve heard
O God, my ears cry out, to hear Thy precious word
Strengthen me O Heavenly Father, I fight against the bit
Let me feel Thy Holy hand, that this turmoil might quit
Forgive me O Heavenly Father, for Thy timing is always right
Forgive me and my impatience, and for being so contrite
For I know I will hear from You, when I get quiet and still
So help me to grow O Lord; in the virtues of Your will
