Peace from the Prince of Peace

Peace proceeds, not from prosperity

power, possessions or property;

Not from position or promotion,

manipulation or acclamation;

but from the Prince of Peace



Peace remains in spite of happenings;

in sunshine or dark forebodings.

Peace of God remains standing

And it passes all understanding.

Why?It’s from the Prince of Peace.



This peace is costly, priceless;

It is deep and bottomless;

It is wide and boundless;

It is high without recess;

This is peace from the Prince of Peace.



This peace stands as an umpire at your gate

keeping you from being irate

reassuring you in your faith

taking you from strength to strength.

Yes! this is Peace from the Prince of Peace.



You too can find this great peace

By calling on the Prince of Peace.

Then your turmoil, struggle will cease,

As He gives you the treasury keys;

Keys to the Prince of Peace.

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Phil4:6-7)

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isa9:6)

Beautiful Fenny and I agree that Patience does not come from propserity, possessions, position, promotion, manipulation or acclamation. This is so true that peace comes from Jesus Christ and this has been always my prayer to Heavenly Father to give me peace of Jesus Christ and joy of my salvation.

I would like to share one experience, there was an incident in the company where I was working, an employee went to Managing Director (owner) and talked evil against one of the Directors. I went to see that Director and wanted her not to act in anger because that would surely turn the situation really ugly, basically I was trying to resolve the situation.

To my amazement that Director told me that she would remain patient and when the time will come (when she will have an upper hand) she would take her revenge. At that time I remembered, that patience does not tell us to indulge ourselves in politics but she was talking of patience that is learnt through cunning of this world.

Peace of Jesus brings tranquility in our lives, as Jesus' peace starts dwelling among us and we are surrounded by His peace, we are covered from all harms and evils. Jesus' peace teaches us to love, care, forgive and forget.

Peace of Jesus makes us prosper for for we are not anxious about promotions, status and other worldly things but peace of Jesus makes our heart "SEEK HIS FACE". When we do that as Jesus said, "First seek the Kingdom of God and the rest will be added to you".

This is how I have been able to understand Peace of Jesus, I may be wrong but this is how I came to know about peace of Jesus and this how peace of Jesus has worked in my life.
