Hard-pressed but not crushed
Billows rising, ocean roaring, but not hushed.
Floods challenging but not moved;
Fires raging, threatening but not perturbed.

Fears advancing, daring, yet I trust.
God will help me, I will not rust.
Christ will lift me as I count the cost.
Surely the last shall be the first.

The One in me is greater than the foe without
This is why I refuse to doubt;
With God on my side, I will win this bout.
The time is coming for a great victory shout.

My challenges are creating chances-
Chances for promotion, so I’ll make room; changes.
God will help me see through – all range.
I renew my thinking, this barrier is not strange.

This is surely a set up for a lift up
I know, my breakthrough nothing can stop.
Hear, my adversary, your game is up!
God is for me and running over will be my cup.

We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; ⁹ persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—2Cor.4:8-9

For men are not cast off
by the LORD forever.
Though He brings grief, He will
show compassion,
so great is His unfailing love.
