Double Dose
Hear me, Oh Heavenly Father; give an ear to my plea.
Bring revival to my spirit and let it burn hot within me.
I have backslidden; I am not the man I was before.
Give me back that passion, when I first opened the door.
Let me hear thy Holy voice and feel thy Spirit embrace.
Brighten up thy light; let it be seen in my face.
Take hold of me Oh Lord; bring change within myself.
Use me and my talents, place me not upon thy shelf.
Hear my cries, Oh Heavenly Father, like you did in the past.
Bid me a double portion, this time I’ll be steadfast.
Stir thy Holy Spirit within me; bring a fire to my coals.
Use me anyway that you want; in you I trust my soul.
Yes, give me a double dose; touch me not once but twice.
And make me a better witness for my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Simply inspired! Thank you Irv for sharing such an awesome prayer, and I believe that now and then we all need to pray such prayer for guidance, acceptance and strength to walk with Heavenly Father.
One thing I would like say is that we all backslide but this has always been my prayer to Heavenly Father that if I lose my footing or if I wander off, He may make me realize my mistake. I have seen people who start very strongly but some point or the other they wander off and instead of recognizing their loss they simply justify themselves.
Heavenly Father may keep us all safe from moral decay, in Jesus name. AMEN
