Word of Faith

Faith has to go into your heart and come out of your mouth

Rom10:8 8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

God can not be pleased where there is no faith

Heb11:6 6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith is now and it is concrete, of substance, heavenly reality

Heb.11:1 1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The Unseen made the seen

Heb11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Faith works by love

6For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Faith comes by hearing continuously

Rom10:17 17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Promises that linger are obtained through Faith

Heb11:33 33Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.

2Cor5:7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Faith will be tried so that it can grow

1Pet1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Faith speaks what it believes, not what it sees in the natural

Rom4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Faith can be increased

Luke17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

Faith understands authority

Matt.8:9-11 9For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

10When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

11And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

Fear is the antithesis of faith

Matt.8:25-2725And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

26And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

27But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

Faith can be evidenced

Matt.9 :1-3 1And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.

2And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

3
And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

You can discern those who have faith and those who don’t

The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

Acts14:9

Cynicism short-circuits faith
Mark6:1-6

1And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.

2And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

3Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

4But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

5And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

6And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

Faith speaks to itself and takes a corresponding action

20And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

21For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

22But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Faith speaks God’s word and what it believes

Rom10:8 8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Faith speaks to mountains

23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Faith takes sides with God but unbelief focuses on the negative

27And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

28Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.

29The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.

30And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

31But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

32And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

33And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Num.14:5-9

6And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:

7And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.

8If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.

9Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.

Faith speaks to things to get its desire results

35And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.

36And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

37And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

38And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

39And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Faith refuses, ‘no’ for an answer

Luke 18: 38And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.

39And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

40And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,

Matt15:25-27 25Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

26But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

27And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

Luke 18:1-5 1And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

2Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

3And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

4And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

5Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

Your faith is important

Matt9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Luke 8:25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him

Matt17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you

Cor2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Matt.9:22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour

Mark5:34 [/size]And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

Mark10:52
Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

Luke8:48 And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Luke 17:19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

Luke 18:42 Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.”

Through faith you subdue and obtain your due

Heb.11:33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

Through faith you subdue

And obtain your due

Regardless of powers

That want you to cower

You stand in Jesus’ Name

His will you proclaim

You speak your belief

And dish unbelief

You walk by your faith

And not by your sight

Obtain promises

Using heavenly currency

Walking on water

Despite the barrier

Rising ever higher

By a higher power

Seeing very giant

As nothing more than an ant

Seeing even Goliath

As a ranting phoney from Gath

You rise from the mire

Speaking your desire

In line with His word

And receive your reward

Speaking to mountains

To move, for you to obtain

You see through God’s eyes

So that you can rise from demise

Through faith you cross over

Defying those who said it’s over

Through faith you remain dogged

Even if your mouth is gagged

Your hands and feet are chained

You know you are God’s ordained

And you refuse to bow down

Or your faith abandon or disown

You press on through the throng

Until He gives you a new song.

Through faith you refuse to be silenced

Until you have had an audience

With Jesus, your Saviour, deliverer

Master, redeemer and Healer.
