It's a Matter of the Heart

It’s a Matter of the Heart
In everything that we do.
Cain gave an offering of thanks,
But Abel gave that of blood.
Cain’s offering was rejected,
But Abel’s was accepted.
It’s a matter of the heart.
Man looketh on the outside,
But God looketh on the heart.
So first clean inside the cup,
To make good what is outside.
Worship must come from the heart;
'In spirit and in truth'.
Giving must come from the heart,
Not just to clear your conscience.
Service must come from the heart,
Not depending on eye service.
Surrender must come from the heart,
Everything, not just some parts.
New Birth must come from the heart:
Acknowledging Jesus as Lord of ALL,
Not Just a part.
"Unless Jesus is Lord of ALL,
He is not Lord at all."
So Repentance must come from the heart;
Not just penance that gives licence to sin some more.
Change must start from the heart;
A turn that is one hundred and eighty degrees.
Charity must come from the heart;
Not a deceptive show of piety to the world .
Compassion must come from the heart;
Not with a hidden agenda.
Faith must come from the heart;
Not partly depending on works.
Love must come from the heart;
Not for what you can get.
Offering must come from the heart;
with willingness and cheerfulness.
Friend, It's a Matter of the HEART!

3 And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD.
4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering,
5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.
