Murray mounts moment of glory
Olympic champion lands grand slam
O what an epic encounter!
The great prize nearly slipped away
As Djokovic came fighting back.

But calm nerves kept it in focus
Till the deal was done and dusted.
History was made since Fred Perry.
Yes, it took seventy-six years
For a Brit to land a grand slam.

If Murray can in his own strength
Surely, I can do it through Christ
Because He is my light and strength
He will bring me into my land
That’s flowing with milk and honey.

Therefore I fix my gaze on Him
Enduring hardness as a soldier.
