Give me Jesus
In the morning when I rise
Give me Jesus
You can have all this world
Give me Jesus
When I am alone, O when I am alone
Give me Jesus
You can have all this world
Give me Jesus
When I come to die, O when I come to die
Give me Jesus
You can have all this world
but give me Jesus
(SINGER: Fernando Ortega)
Dear Fenny, I love this song, and it is played in my car on loop, it is played in my office on loop and in my study on loop. I never get bored listening to this great song 24/7. The other one I love is "I can only imagine"I am sending it to you through mail, I hope you will like it. I do not have the rights, otherwise, I would have it here. If anyone else wants this song, please let me know at waqardaniel@yahoo.com.
God bless you and your family
Re: Give me Jesus
Waqar, it surely is a great song with simple but profound lyrics. I have heard similar songs but not this particular one.
Thank you for sharing. It appears we are getting into songs so if you like it we can have another special thread for Songs or we leave it as poetry; the choice is yours. I have a lot of songs but they are not all poetic but powerful and inspiring all the same.
Some of my poems are also songs. when we're ready for Audio Poetry/Dynamic Poetry, they can be shared.

Re: Give me Jesus
Dear Fenny:
The suggestion is good to have a forum on songs but the real problem is that when you approach these singers for rights, they demand huge sums for royalty and rights. This makes it rally impossible for me to put up these songs, otherwise I have huge collection of songs myself.
The sad part is that Jesus gave them freely but they cash on the name of Jesus.
Anyhow, I am trying to get few of them uploaded soon.
God bless you and your family

I am sorry I do not buy the line:
The artists have received the talent like all other talents that we have. Some of the talents may be for a circular job and the owners are using it to meet their needs. I think the same should apply for musicians. No one would expect them to give their services free, would they?
Unless talents and gifts are worked often through investing in one's self they will be raw, unrefined and we cannot benefit from them; like many talented Christians who are not using their talents for fear that it would not put bread on the table. The whole Body of Christ is thus paying the price of that talent that is not used to edify the Body. There has to be a balance and an understanding. I agree that some artist could overdo it. But we need to be sensitive.
The Lord intends for our provision to come form our vision. Unless one is not doing it full-time or does not have the vision of expanding, then one can give the songs free. But recording songs to a high quality is expensive and the artists need to be encourqaged to record more song.
I do have song I have already recorded; whereas I can give some of them free but I would need to think of my family and debveloping the ministry that God has bestow to me. I will be a fool to start giving everything free. That would not be generosity but foolishness. Ministry comes in various ways. For some its preaching , for others it's composing and singing.
