Praise God

I love to see a shooting star
as it streaks across the sky
it makes me think of God above
to think He lets them fly
as soon as they are out of sight
I get down on my knee's
Praising God for all the lights
the sky, land and sea's
I ask my Father up above
to bring me to His thrown
someday I will be there to see
if I had ever grown
I hope to see my name right there
in the book of life
knowing that I did some good
helping Jesus with the light
I want to be what I should be
giving God some hope
that there are more than only me
He'll leave down the rope
so we can climb so easily
back up where we belong
with Father, Son and Holy Ghost
all singing that new song

Anything that will cause praise to well-up within us is to be cherished. This poem is a great reminder of how His creation can trigger His praise.
