I've heard of a place

I'm going around corners
looking for a place to hide
the problems in the world
getting greater than the tide
I could swim out in the ocean
and try drowning them in
the water as it swells way up
but it wouldn't kill the sin
so I will need to find a place to go
a place where evil's not
I've heard of a place like this
where nothing there can rot
its a place where happiness
overtakes the heavy heart
a place where nothing evil lives
and you never have to part
the sweetest thing I've heard is true
is that you never have to leave
the beauty and fulfillment
you no more ever grieve
a place within the soul of man
anyone can enter in
but first you must be willing
to not let evil in
as you pray for the freedom
that others do not know
you'll find peace and contentment
as the Spirit begins to grow
when the Spirit grows to maturity
you'll find that great big sword
the one that keeps you safe and sound
then you will call it Lord
