Nemesis - The Death Star

Post  planet_shakers on Wed 17 Dec 2008, 7:34 am

Scientists believe that there is a star that comes so close to the solar system once in 26 million years that it unleashes numerous comets.

The scientists assume that this was the reason that dinosaurs were killed some 65 million years ago. They also believe that this impact of comets created a dust of cloud in the upper atmosphere of the earth that for many years the sunlight was unable to penetrate the dust cloud. Due to this the plants could not grow and hence the vegetarian dinos died. However, scientists do assume this but have not yet found this star yet.

The star that orbits very close to our solar system once in 26 million years is named Nemesis - The Death Star. It is named after the Greek goddess of punishment.
