Father, I thank you and praise you that you have packaged me for your pleasure, designed me for your purpose.
Thank your for that purpose and plan which you had in mind when you were intricately and meticulously putting me together.

Regardless of opposition or my current position, help me Lord, to set my face like a flint and press on for the mark of the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus.
Lord, I pray that I will not waste my time with what you have not assigned to me. Lead me by Your Holy Spirit to find my purpose, follow that purpose passionately, and commit myself to finish that purpose to your glory and your praise, in Jesus’ Name.

Prophets (should have revelation, utterance gifts, may be some Working of miracles

Pastors (should have admin, teaching, compassion)

Each person has a function which determines ‘SHAPE’
‘Spiritual’ gifts from the Father, Son or the Holy Spirit
Heart- passion
Abilities, talents
Personalities
Experiences- positive or negative

We don’t choose our gift. The Holy Spirit Jesus or the Father decides.
We all have assignment- people sent to, a dream to fulfil, a world (domain or sphere to influence or impact or leave a legacy in. we need to identify that dream, assignment or world and discover, develop and deploy your gifts which will enable you to leave an eternal legacy before we are called home. It all begins with God. You must know your God, then be intimate with Him, and ask Him to reveal you to you.
Without this revelation of you to you, you can abuse yourself- use your gifts for ‘uncommanded’ purposes or not discover them or discover them but not sufficiently develop them as to maximize their use.

We need to know that there is also preparation time ( God’s Process before the Promise) before you start your assignment and certain seemingly mundane unfulfilling task occupations can be God’s training ground for what He has for us eventually. We need to have a vision and know God’s timing understanding momentum and seizing the moment. David had to look after his father’s sheep before god gave him a people to shepherd. The same applied t Moses, who got God’s timing wrong. Eventually when God was ready, Moses gave excuses.‘

Serving sincerely yet still stuck
In a rot, mire, even quagmire
Between hard place and a rock
To run or give up is your desire.

But you know you have a call
A mission and a vision from God
So you must stand strong and tall
And proclaim His powerful Word.

Despite difficulties, desertions, opposition
You cannot stop or give in to the foe

19.The Lot of Jeremiah

Imagine the lot of Jeremiah:
For preaching the gospel
Getting stuck in a stinking mire
And seeing nothing but share hell.

He had a message: prophetic
Seemed to be standing alone
It came out dynamic, energetic
Burning, blazing fire in his bones.

With a sense of mission
He rode the storms and floods
Powered by divine vision
Depending solely on his God.

This was a weeping prophet
Who suffered day and night
Judgement he had to trumpet
Regardless of the pain and plight.

In season and out of season
He had to speak severity
Though it bought and brought prison
He had to obey the Almighty.

Lord, recharge my spiritual battery
To shine, run, burn and burn for you
Regardless of the foes and fires I see
Knowing that you will bring me through.

If you are practising, devoted, disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, your path is the narrow way. Your life rebukes darkness, unrighteousness. The world will hate you and reject you. But God will be proud if you as you let your light shine in the darkness be a City on a hill even if you become unpopular and vilified.
They did to your master, so they will do it to you.
The score is even more severe if you have a prophetic ministry. Be ready to doubly suffer, be marginalised, deserted, tortured, called names, imprisoned or killed.

Be strong and courageous and press on until you finish your assignment like Paul:

Pursuing Purpose Can Pose a Problem
Make things harder than before
Like Moses made things harder for Jacob
Pharaoh getting mad, vindictive.

David was destined for the throne
But he had to dodge Saul’s venom
Run from pillar to post, under cover
Things going from bad to worse was the process.

Without the process, there will be no promise
He had to endure like a soldier
Joseph was ordained to be a governor
But the pit and prison had to precede.

Without wisdom and understanding, you cannot stand
You will cry ’Wolf’ and throw in the towel
You will play into the enemy’s hand,
Who’s come to kill steal and destroy!

So when the fire gets hotter and hotter
Trust in His faithfulness as He refines
You will not come out bitter but better
You will come out smelling like rose.

Daniel’s friends are your example
They stood the test, would not compromise
Daniel himself leaves us a lesson:
From opposition you can obtain promotion.

The nature of your inheritance
Is its uniqueness
To usher a fragrance
And grace into your life


It will make you stand out
Among the crowd
People will have no doubt
About you’re your gifting.

It was tailor-made for you
Wired into you
To distinguish you
Empower you, lift you to lift others.

What God has given you .
Is the very best for you.
Acknowledge it, walk in it
Work with it, trade with it
But don’t trade it for something else.

The Holy Spirit is the key
Only He can help you see
So put your hand in His hand
And He will bring you into the Land.

Be prepared to take risks
Don’t expect a quick fix
Before the promise
There is a process.

23.The Function of Your Inheritance

The function of your inheritance
Is to bring you into significance
Make you stable, durable, secure
Covers your present and future

It is more than food and rainment
But for your dream and assignment.
It is not just for your generation
But also for the unborn -future generations.

Jacob prayed for food and clothing
But God ordained increasing, employing
Dominion, subduing, fruitfulness, multiplying
Being super-abundantly blessed to be a blessing.

So stop limiting God by your thinking.
Break the mould into possibility thinking.
Know that your God is more than enough,
Even when the terrain is rough and tough.

Think what God thinks about you.
Say what God says about you.
Pray what God’s word says about you.
Act as though God’s word is true.

God will make His Word good.
You will have far more than food.
God will make you victorious,
Because your inheritance is glorious.

Jacob’s Agreement with Laban

25 And it came to pass, when Rachel had borne Joseph, that Jacob said to Laban, “Send me away, that I may go to my own place and to my country. 26 Give me my wives and my children for whom I have served you, and let me go; for you know my service which I have done for you.”
27 And Laban said to him, “Please stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the LORD has blessed me for your sake.” 28 Then he said, “Name me your wages, and I will give it.”
29 So Jacob said to him, “You know how I have served you and how your livestock has been with me. 30 For what you had before I came was little, and it has increased to a great amount; the LORD has blessed you since my coming. And now, when shall I also provide for my own house?”
31 So he said, “What shall I give you?”
And Jacob said, “You shall not give me anything. If you will do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep your flocks: 32 Let me pass through all your flock today, removing from there all the speckled and spotted sheep, and all the brown ones among the lambs, and the spotted and speckled among the goats; and these shall be my wages. 33 So my righteousness will answer for me in time to come, when the subject of my wages comes before you: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the lambs, will be considered stolen, if it is with me.”
34 And Laban said, “Oh, that it were according to your word!” 35 So he removed that day the male goats that were speckled and spotted, all the female goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had some white in it, and all the brown ones among the lambs, and gave them into the hand of his sons.Gen30:24-35
