The Dollar Mouth Pastors & Evangelists
Any Christian Satellite channel you swtich on, the message is support the channel or church with our money. Any SW or FM Christian Radio you swtich on, the dollar mouth Pastors are preaching to give our money. Any crusade or conference you go to, same dollar mouth Pastors are preaching. Any Church you go to same routine is followed. Why do all these Pastors keep on asking for money? To spend it on themselves? Why do we have to buy our blessings from Churches, Christian TV, crusades? It is amazing that at one hand Pastors ask for money and tell us that God will bless us with more and yet they beg for money. I am confused and do not know what know what to say. Please do post your thoughts and let us discuss why do we need to buy our blessings and is it Biblical?

Re: The Dollar Mouth Pastors & Evangelists
This question is mostly in our hearts. To preach the Gospel we must help Churches to spread. If the priest is corrupt then it is between him and God, we must do our duty. I disagree that paying charity we buy blessings. This statement is straight from hell and we must not speak like this.

Re: The Dollar Mouth Pastors and Evangelists
lovingdove, saved is right when he says, "This quesion is mostly in our hearts." Why we do what we do is more important than what we do. Do we give to "Dollar Mouth Pastors and Evangelists" because we sense within our spirit that that is what the Father would have us do regardless if there is a physical blessing or not, or do we give in order to gain a blessing from God? The first reason should be obeyed; the second reason should be recognized for the sin that it is. God is not for sale. To belief that God is obligated to bless us because we give money to someone or some organization amounts to litte more than a bride. "You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of the just" (Exodus 23:8 NASU). If we are commanded to not take bribes because of the evil that results do we think God will receive one? As Paul would say, "May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar" (Romans 3:4 NASU). Such gifts further a kingdom all right, but it's not the Kingdom of God.
The scene in the Bible which describes Jesus watching the widow putting to small coins in the temple treasury (Luke 21:1-4) reveals how the Father looks at our giving. I would add that if Jesus can multiply a few fish and loaves of bread to feed thousands on a physical level, He certainly can, and will, do the same on a spiritual level for gifts that we give from a pure motive.
It should be remembered that worship (which our giving of our time, money, and resources is a concrete example of) is not primarily for our benefit. It is to be a response to our heavenly Father for the mercy and forgiveness He has graciously bestowed upon us. If every prayer I prayed were answered from the heavenly Throne Room as, "No", yet would I worship Him. "Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me tread on my I high places" (Habakkuk 3:17-19 ESV). It is not earthly treasures I seek, but heavenly ones.
There is a story about a missionary returning on a ship after having spent 40 years overseas preaching and teaching the Gospel. On that same ship was a well know politician whose life was one of less than honorable quality. But as the ship docked a large crowd was gathered to welcome the politician. There was a band playing patriotic music as he left the ship. People fought for a stop next to him so they could be seen with him. The missionary saw this and said, "Lord, for forty years I have given You everything. I have held nothing back from You, but have obeyed You always. But, look! That politician who blasphemes Your name comes home to a hero's welcome. There's not one person here to say hello to me. Why Lord?" The Holy Spirit said, "You are not home yet."
Indeed. "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33 NASU). It is not some man's kingdom I seek, but the Father's, and that Kingdom starts in the heart of the individual and grows one heart at a time. When you give ask yourself, "Am I building God's Kingdom, or some earthly kingdom?" You will know what to do. And you don't have to apologize for it.
Blessings in Christ,
Terry

Re: The Dollar Mouth Pastors & Evangelists
The question is, if John is called Elijah, was he unable to recognize Jesus? I believe that John the Baptist never failed to recognize who Jesus was. Every word of the Bible is useful and explains us with a unique answer.Jesus replied, "Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised and the good news is preached to the poor." (Mathew 11:4-5)
Jesus' words are a guide for us here. What does preaching of Gospel bring?
1. Sight
2. Direction
3. Healing
4. LIFE
5. HOPE
This all happens due to preaching of the Gospel. If Gospel is not preached, how will blind see, deaf hear, our bodies are cleaned, dead are given life and how can people hope in Jesus?
It is very easy to blame Pastors, Churches and Ministries, but you need to look into their lives. All faith healers go through a very difficult life. They wake up and pray at times when you and I sleep. They pray for hours and fast, when you and I cannot even pray for 5 minutes. Atleast give credit to what they do for others, sacrificing their personal lives.
Preaching of the Gospel requires people to preach and in this satellite dominated world, do you think, that it is easy to preach? It requires lot of money. God does not need our help, if He wants, He can do it all by Himself but He gave us a choice.
Either, we can use our blessings in making a golden calf or use it in making a sanctuary for God. The choice is ours because God said, "who is willing" may give freely in the building of the Sanctuary. When we sow in God's Kingdom, and if any person accept Jesus as LORD and Savior, we build a sanctuary for God.
We only have to give back what God blessed us with. It can be money or your time. Is is too difficult for us?
God bless you
Re: The Dollar Mouth Pastors & Evangelists
Thank you lovingdove, for asking this question.Thank you Terry and Daniel to for your aswers are correct. I to believe that we need to support the Church at all times. Now I agree with Lovingdove on one thing, and that is that, the pastors should not say that God is abligated to give it back to you. God will bless us but we do not know how. Another thing is Jesus Himself when talking to the Pharisees, He said you give your tides and you do well by doing so, but you forgot to take care of the first thing Feed the fatherless and take care of the widow who really needs help, not the ones that are given to wine but if she is not living ungodly ways we must not let that person go hungry and clode them. Yes the TV preachers are always begging for money The Apostle Paul worked. I do not stress over giving but I do stress who I give too. A man of God must live by faith as Terry said. He must never be a beger. Just ask people to give from their hearts for God loves a cheerful giver. God bless you and your family. forhisglory
