Truth drives out errors, lies, and deception.
Peace drives out anxiety, worry, stress, and disease.
Joy drives out discouragement, hopelessness, depression, and downheartedness.
Love drives out fear and frustration.
Trust in God drives out insecurity, feelings of rejection and abandonment.
Hope drives out apathy and dread of the future.
Endurance drives out care and concern and impatience.
Gentleness drives out harshness, anger, and rage.
Meekness (a humble, gentle attitude) drives out pride thinking of oneself more highly than one ought. It considers others better than themselves.
The fruit of temperance (a.k.a. self-control) enables a person to wait on God before proceeding in any direction.
To see a list of the fruit of the Spirit, read Galatians 5:22-23.
