Just stand Strong On the Word

Daniel, daring, devoted, distinguished;
Approved, anointed, altruistic;
Neat, noble, notable, novel;
Inspirational, intuitive, intelligent;
Ebullient, excellent, epoch-making, engaging;
Loyal, loving.

Bold, Beloved, Faithful, Fiery, Holy;
Conqueror, Man of faith, with integrity
Promoted, Prayerful, protected.

One of three presidents,
Wise and highly honoured,
Upfront, refused to pretend.

Conspiracy was rife, in a race.
They sought to ensnare and vilify.
He remained bold, undaunted.

King decreed unchangeable law,
Fell flat on their tricky floor.
Daniel prayed as usual, found faithful.

Darius deceived, Daniel was damned,
Sentenced into the lion’s den.
Then God shut their mouths;
His power was in no doubt.

King was gripped by insomnia;
Sleep deserted him all night ;
Woke early to find Daniel safe.

Evil of the conspirators returned
Like a boomerang,
Like Haman’s gallows,
They dug a pit and fell into it.
They became dinner for hungry lions.

Daniel was Protected and promoted.

So remain faithful and devoted.
Let your light shine in the night.
Stand, refuse to be intimidated.
Depend on God, not your might.

God will arise and will fight for you,
When your enemies set a trap;
Like Jehosephat, He’ll see you through.
Your foes will stumble and fall flat.

Your set-back will be a set-up;
A set-up for the glory of God;
A set–up for a glorious lift-up.
Just stand strong on the Word.
