Lost And Found
Lost and Found
In a musty back room, upon a dust covered shelf
Sat an ole tattered shoe box, where “lost” items are kept
Like a yoyo with a broken string, a Cracker Jack tattoo
A hair barrette, three safety pins and a toddler’s shoe
A Jack knife, a plastic comb and olive green bow tie
A ball, some jacks and a whistle; along with a shirt, tie-dyed
A bent ring and a lucky charm, a post card with a mountain view
Some pencils and pens, some moldy stuff; and a dust bunny or two
These once lost items, now await their owner’s reclaim
Reminds me of salvation and redemption through Jesus’ name
This ole world could be that back room, with the dusty shelf
And in that tattered shoe box is where lost souls are kept
You could be that toddler’s shoe, the ball or that bent ring
And I could be that moldy stuff, or that yoyo with the broken string
And we’re waiting for God to open the box; waiting our Master’s claim
Waiting to be “found” by Him; and saved through Jesus’ name

Re: Lost And Found
Irv this is really a wonderful poem from you. It does not matter how hard we fall and how filthy we get in our struggle to live this life. It takes only one moment to turn around and seek forgiveness of God and repent. Jesus accepts all who are willing to be His.
My prayer is that God may always bless you keep you in His peace.

Thank you for your comments, ChristianLady. To God be the glory for all that we have and all that we do, for without Him we are nothing, blessings to you and your family, Irv
