Call to Come Boldly

Saint, the call to come boldly
Not a call to come carelessly
We must come with godly fear
We must not be too familiar.

Our God is a consuming fire
Think of Ananias and Sapphira
And those who lit strange fires
Let us confess our sins be our desire.

Our scapegoat, Jesus, came
Taking away our sins
Let us come in His Name
Confessing our sins
Receiving cleansing
And turning away from sin.

Shall we go on sinning
For grace to increase?
That will be crucifying
Christ again, the Prince of peace
We were slaves of unrighteousness
Let us now be slaves of righteousness.

Beautiful and I love this verse, because it talks of our faith and walk in Jesus. Instead of fretting on our past lives and begging to go in to the past and undo all the wrongs, our hearts should sing:

I greatly delight in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with jewels. (Isaiah 61:10)
