Something Is Wrong

Something Is Wrong
O that I could walk in grace and in that mercy of the Lord
That I could let go of this world and chance my life aboard
That I might feel that wonderful peace that others tell me about
That I could live that spirit-filled life and turn this old one out
I know there is something wrong, my being tell me so
But I am much, much too afraid to let my old life go
I’m afraid of giving in and afraid of the truth I’ve heard
But I know there is something wrong; my heart pulls me to God’s Word
O that I could walk in that light, in that Presents meant for generations
That I might let go of this world and enter God’s salvation
For if I know of God’s wonderful gift; of His Son’s death for my soul
Why do I hold to the things of this world; instead of letting go?

Thank you for this awesome poem and I must admit that Fenny and you make me read poems and I enjoy them. This is so true that God in His love for us gave His best for us and He keeps all the doors open for us so that we may repent and submit our lives to Him.
I was recently called by a family for a prayer. They were facing some tough times and they called me to their house. The lady and her husband told me that God never listens to prayers but they are willing to use my prayers.
I told them that God always listens to our prayers and answers them too. Then I asked them how long have they been praying for the solution. They said, they are too busy so they do not pray.
I told them if they do not pray then how do they know that God never answers the prayers. Isn't it amazing how we behave towards the mercy, kindness and love of Heavenly Father. God is so merciful and loving that He not only forgive our sins but also forgets our past lives.

I would like to share a story here, although it is little out of context but it talks of our attitudes towards the love and mercy of God who is always willing to welcome us as we are.Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it, whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left." (Isaiah 30:21)
