Jesus and other sons of gods Empty Jesus and other sons of gods

Post  Waqar Daniel Fri 16 Oct 2009, 5:41 pm

Jesus claimed to be Son of the God Most High and called the God Most High as Father. The main purpose of Jesus' life on earth was

"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. (John 10:10)

Jesus was the only Son of God who claimed to give everlasting life and He laid His own life to do so. Whereas, in comparison to others who claimed to be sons of various gods never claimed to give everlasting life.

Alexander the Great
Alexander the Great claimed to be son of Zeus. Zeus was a god in Greek mythology. In history we read, Zeus and Alexander were both ruthless murderers and they did so for their personal gains.

Although Alexander married twice: Roxana and Persian princess Stateira, Alexander was into homosexuality and Plutarch wrote: When Philoxenus, the commander of his forces on the sea-board, wrote that there was with him a certain Theodorus of Tarentum, who had two youths of surpassing beauty to sell, and inquired whether Alexander would buy them, Alexander was incensed, and cried out many times to his friends, asking them what shameful thing Philoxenus had ever seen in him that he should spend his time in making such disgraceful proposals.

Alexander the Great claimed to be son of god yet, he loved homosexuals and was obsessed with killing.

Charles Manson
Charles Milles Manson (born November 12, 1934) was convicted of murder in what became known as the Tate/La Bianca case. Although Manson himself has never killed anyone, his murder conviction stems from a group of young women and young men he recruited - the "Manson Family" - and directed to commit the acts.

In 1951, after a string of arrests and escapes Manson was sent to prison for driving a stolen car across state lines. By the end of 1952 he had eight assault charges against him. He was transferred to another facility where he became a model inmate, and was released in 1954.

In January of 1955, Charles married 17-year-old Rosalie Jean Willis. He and Rosalie decided to head to California. Soon after the wedding Charles was arrested after stealing a car. Rosalie became pregnant in April. Meanwhile the judge gave him probation for the offense. This was revoked in 1956 when he missed a court date. Soon after his arrest, Rosalie gave birth to their son, Charles Manson, Jr. (d. 1993; suicide). Rosalie then left town with a truck driver and their son.

Charles was paroled in 1958 after serving 2 years of a 3 year sentence. In 1959 he was arrested again for passing stolen checks. Once again, he was given probation which was revoked nine months later. During his probation, he met a girl named Leona, whom he married.

On June 1, 1960 Manson was arrested for soliciting prostitution. He was ordered to serve his ten year suspended sentence for passing stolen checks. Soon after his arrest, Leona gave birth to his second son, Charles Luther Manson, and served him divorce papers.

David Koresh
David Koresh, born Vernon Wayne Howell (August 17, 1959 - April 19, 1993) was a leader of the Branch Davidians, an apocalyptic Christian sect.

Koresh joined the Branch Davidians in 1981. In 1983, he began a live-in relationship with Lois Roden, the head of the Branch Davidians. The next year, at age 24, Koresh married a 14 year old named Rachel Jones. Lois Roden's son, George Roden, soon forced them out of the Davidian compound at Mt Carmel, on the outskirts of Waco. After a brief stay in Waco, Koresh acquired some land in Palestine, Texas and moved there with his growing band of followers, most of whom had followed him from Mt Carmel. During this period, Koresh took five more teenage brides. In November 1987, Koresh and eight of his followers were arrested for attempted murder after being involved in a nonfatal shootout with George Roden at Mt Carmel. In April 1988, Koresh and his followers were freed. Koresh's case had been declared a mistrial, and his followers had been acquitted. After this, Koresh and his followers, who by now included all of the Branch Davidians, returned to Mt Carmel.

Koresh and 74 others were killed on April 19, 1993, during an FBI assault on the Davidian compound near Waco, Texas, when a fire burned the structure to the ground. However, later forensic evidence of the skeletal remains revealed causes of death ranging from smoke inhalation to bullet wounds to the head.

Koresh has been accused of having sexual relationships with teenagers he termed his wives, and of forcing his followers to give him excessive amounts of money. He also was accused of "stockpiling" automatic weapons and other illegal destructive devices, and of claiming to be a son of God.

Based on verses from Daniel, the Branch Davidians believed that Koresh would someday return to Earth. The date most accepted was based on Daniel 12:12. This date was 1,335 days after his death: December 14, 1996.

Hong Xiuquan
Claimed to be the second son of God, brother to
Jesus Christ.

The following poem, called "The Poem on Executing the Vicious and Preserving the Righteous", written in 1837 by Hong, illustrates his faith and goal that later leads to the establishment the Heavenly Kingdom of Taiping. Note that in the second last line, the name of the then yet-to-come kingdom is mentioned. This, and other poems of his, are considered by some scholars, then and nowadays, to be of low quality, because the lack of use of classical phrases.

Holding the Universe in the hand,
I slay the attacking powers.
Eyes can see through beyond the west, the north, the rivers, and the mountains,
Sounds can shake the east, the south, the Sun, and the Moon.
The glorious sword of authority was given by Lord,
Poems and books are evidences that praise Yahweh in front of Him.
Taiping [perfect Peace] unifies the World of Light,
The domineering air will be joyous for myriads of thousand years.
