I went for a walk today

I went for a walk today -
I saw, felt and touched
A slice of heaven.
How I wish I could remain within
that moment
But it is not to be so.
On this side of life it cannot be
But once I finish what I started here
I then can walk over there.
For the moment,
I was caught up in-
There was nothing but being one
With the nature I was walking in.
No demands, commitments, obligations-
No sense of time in fact.
And I felt exalted as though
This was the true essence of being alive.
This is how we are meant to be-
Unfettered, and unrestrained.
I went for a walk today,
I saw, felt and touched
A slice of heaven.
Lord, how beautiful your creation is to me.
Thank you for all that you have made
For our pleasure!
