Restore Yourself

My friend you are drifting
Slowly drifting away –
And you are so preoccupied
You don’t believe it is happening.
Where you once stood
You are no more
Ask yourself how it happened
You will not like what you hear.
Our love grows cold
When we take our focus
Off whom means the most
And place it on “other things”.
Don’t deceive yourself
And say it will never happen
For then you are turned over
Your pride blindly leads you away.
I ask for Heaven’s sake,
That you stop and return where
You once were, repent –
Restore yourself,
Before the great falling away.

This is so true and it is so easy for it to happen with so many things to preoccupy the mind. Thanks for reminding us to stay close.
