Wisdom

At the end of the day,
With lights off laying in bed,
The light for the corner of the
Building filters against the blinds.
I stop and think of thoughts,
Expressed in song, music,
Books, poems, philosophy,
The many activities of enjoyment,
Work and pleasure.
There is so many wonderful things
To explore and learn
That if I let them
They will rob me of time
Faster than if I planned it.
I have decided to read the Psalms
To discover the personhood
And the mystery of God,
I am transcended beyond time.
Moments are suspended
In the antiquity of Wisdom
Passed down to me in the pages.
Small things cost more than large,
They add up quicker.
To accomplish small things
Makes one a bigger person,
For it is a continuance of comittment
Rather than a statement of deed.
I know we are spirits,
It is wisdom to see and think
In the spirit realm
And to function there as well.
When I can come to the place
Where the spirit is more real
Than the material
Then I have entered into
Complete fulfillment within my soul.
One may be poor socially
Yet inwardly dwells all the wisdom
and knowledge of living life.
