HELL
Down you descend
The light vanishes
Darkness takes over
Your senses are heightened
Every remorse, pain magnified
Over and over in your mind
The torment rages on.
People without number
Surround you in the dark
Prayers of desperation uttered
That go unheard
Too late, too late,
You hear teeth grinding with pain –
This land of the dead
Separated from all that is
Beautiful, loving, kind.
You try to communicate
With your loved ones,
The living.
You go unheard.
There is no time here
Just an unending reliving
Of every regret you ever had.
You are separated forever
From the Lord and his mercy
You were never created
To dwell in this place.
This could have been avoided,
You were warned.
Now you are separated from God
For all eternity.
Re: HELL
Very beautifully stated! Thank you for highlighting the importance of taking our lives seriously because there is no "undo" button in the hell.
I see one more thing in hell and that is "sadness". Many who follow strict religious rites (other beliefs), when they land in hell, what would they feel? What I understand is that agony of pain and loss will sum up to depression and sadness.
I liked this poem and may this poem lead others towards light.
God bless you

Re: HELL
God showed me, I am on broad road that leads to hell
One night as I laid in bed, eyes closed, just about to fall asleep, I was suddenly, literally, frozen in fear. I tried to move my body but I could not move anything. I then tried to move one of my fingers but I could not move that either. I was paralysed with fear. I continued trying to move but it was futile. My body wouldn’t respond to any commands my brain gave. I could hear a whirlwind. It was a terrifying sound, in the darkness. God’s wrath was on me. Next thing I knew I was no longer in bed. I was cast out of my body into outer darkness, a black darkness. I knew I was there for a reason, I was going to hell, I was on my own. And I knew there was something on its way to me, each time it got closer, I became more terrified. As it came really close I knew who it was, it was the devil horror overwhelmed me. Terror took a hold of me, I was shaking and trembling in fear, it was so intense I fainted. I never knew I was in darkness on till God showed me,he showed me all this because he was telling me I love you, change from your sinful life.
KJV Psalm 58:9 before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.
KJV Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The Holy Spirit was convicting me of my sin, as I was praying I wept with sorrow,Every time I sinned I offended God. I was so sorrowful for what I had done, and for the way I had treated other people in the past. I wept so much I was exhausted. God wanted me to hate my sin and he wanted me to ask him.
