What a Love! What a Name!

He has a majestic Name
Above very other name
Resounding in Heaven and Earth;
The Great God of Heaven and Earth!

Angels bow at His feet.
Without Him nothing is complete.
He rules from Sea to sea;
Truly, Master of the Sea.

He decrees and it stands
Everything is at His command
He raises, sets up kingdoms
He uproots, blows away kingdoms.

Principalities are subject to Him
Powers, Rulers answer to Him
He is preeminent- above all
He made all – both great and small.

Psalms:8:1: O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

Psalms:8:2: Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

Psalms:8:3: When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

Psalms:8:4: What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Psalms:8:5: For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Psalms:8:6: Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

Psalms:8:7: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

Psalms:8:8: The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

Psalms:8:9: O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

What a love!

David, the sweet Psalmist of Israel, was overawed that He, God, who made the universe, the galaxies, the moon and stars, the milky ways, should not just take interest in man but should have a mind full of him- always thinking of him. It was too much for him to comprehend and so he exclaimed: ‘O Lord, my Lord how majestic is Your Name, in all the earth!’
We too should take the time to ponder the truth. Why are we so special to God that He not only made us in His image but always thinks of us like a man engaged to the love of his life would always think of her.

Taking a look at the wonders of creation, its beauty, its vastness, how it takes the breath away, should fill us with praise, honour, adoration, admiration and awe at our God who despite his power and creativity and greatness stoops to our level to love us with an unfailing love and sharing His divine nature with us.

What a wonder to be the crowning glory of all His creation and to be given dominion over all the works of His Hand!

O Lord, Our Lord, how majestic is your Name in all the earth!

And because of this great love, He did not withhold His Son –Jesus from us but delivered Him to be crucified to reconcile us to Himself. What a love!
