Rise, Run, Shine and Sing!

Run your race faithfully
Keep running patiently
Undeterred by fierce winds
Never looking behind.
Run with a view to win
And rise out of the bin
Run with eyes on the crown
Rise even when you’re down.
Do not disdain the cross
It will help you to cross
Run with the Spirit’s force
Your efforts will not be loss.
See those who’ve gone before
See the prize that’s in store
Jesus has paid the price
Just make your sacrifice.
Resurrection is coming
Celebration is coming
Jubilation is coming
Acclamation is coming.
Affirmation is coming
Quitters never win
Winner never quit
Put away the sin
Crave the Spirit’s visit.
Rise from your valley
Make it God’s spring
Go from glory to glory
Rise, run, shine and sing!

This could almost be a martyrs song, the way you encourage
to finish the race. I so enjoyed this. Truly this poem is anointed.
