That Which Does Not Fail

When I have tried all else
And it has truly failed
There’s nothing left to do
I get down on my knees
And turn to talk to you.
Life is overwhelming
I know not where to turn
Confusion in my mind
Yet within my heart does burn
That you are God.
I don’t know why
I wait so long
To empty my heart all out
And always afterwards
My heart feels light and new.
I may not see you
But I feel your presence near
Your peace and comfort
They do surround me
When on bended knee
I have your ear.
To enter the throne
One must be humble
To be on our knees
With head forward cast
Is truly surrendering,
To the Heavenly King.
There is one thing
That does not fail
But truly does last
It is prayer to the King
On His Throne
We are connected
We are not alone.
And it has truly failed
