The Better Way of Giving

How pleasant to be appreciated
For the good things we have done
A flower or a card saying, 'Thank You'
O what joy it brings, motivating to do more.

But there is another way that we can give
That will take the focus off us and put it on God
That way is the better way, the anonymous way
Try it and you will be blessed doubly, giving glory to God.

Giving to the Needy

¹"Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

²"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. ³But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, ⁴so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matt6:1-4

Your poem covers the biblical basis of true giving.. the way we are told to do.
To not make it public but private so as not to draw embarrassment to those
we are helping. Loved this write. Blessings.
