Ugliness To Beauty
There is much ugliness
In the world
I cannot look upon it anymore
It drains me of my joy
It consumes my peace of mind
How I often wish to ignore it
Yet I am responsible for others
I am my brother’s keeper
By ignoring others needs
I murder them
Their blood is on my hands
I must put on the mind of Christ
Find compassion within
To help ease the burden of others
When I fail to do so
I cease to exist as a human
I become an animal without feeling
Another tormentor added to them
I must use ugliness
As a tool for love
And pain as a gift
For personal growth
We can change the world
By doing then becoming
Actions must go first
Then feelings will follow
In the world
I cannot look upon it anymore
It drains me of my joy
It consumes my peace of mind
How I often wish to ignore it
Yet I am responsible for others
I am my brother’s keeper
By ignoring others needs
I murder them
Their blood is on my hands
I must put on the mind of Christ
Find compassion within
To help ease the burden of others
When I fail to do so
I cease to exist as a human
I become an animal without feeling
Another tormentor added to them
I must use ugliness
As a tool for love
And pain as a gift
For personal growth
We can change the world
By doing then becoming
Actions must go first
Then feelings will follow
So, so True
strong word, worthy of sober reflection.
may the Lord fill us with His compassion
to see people as He sees them
and respond to them the way He will.
Thank you for sharing, Warrior
