Lord, I Go Forth in Your Name
Lord, I Go Forth in Your Name ( Prayer)
Lord I go forth in Your Name in this New Year
Because Your Name is a strong tower
In which the righteous hide without fear
I pursue this year’s tasks with the Spirit’s power
Resolving to put You first in all I do, or think.
O Lord, may I not just pursue goals or assignments
But in wisdom find out what You want me to do
And employ passion and zeal in their accomplishment.
Trusting that with You at the helm, I will have a breakthrough.
For without You, I can do nothing of significance.
Mighty God, may I in Your vineyard, enthusiastically labour
Cherishing, coveting, craving Your tangible presence;
Assured of Your leading, angelic assignment and favour,
As I seek Your glory, praise, kingdom and magnificence.
Join my efforts with other co-labourers for Your kingdom to come.
Help me, O Lord, to perspire and press into my Promised Land
Irrespective of potholes, giants, hazard, lions, clouds or storms
May I know beyond all doubt that principalities will bow at Your command.
And that You are Lord and sovereign over the floods, thunder and storms.
May I be still, in fires and raging waters and know that You are God.
May I not limit You this year but in all areas. let You be God
Help me to return to You as my First Love, to begin and end with You.
Come the end of this year, may I look back, rejoicing, praising You, Lord
For the great, unique, mighty, marvellous and unprecedented breakthroughs
I thank and praise You for what You have done; what You are doing and will do.

Forth in thy name, O Lord, I go
Forth in thy Name, O Lord, I go,
my daily labor to pursue;
thee, only thee, resolved to know
in all I think or speak or do.
The task thy wisdom hath assigned,
O let me cheerfully fulfill;
in all my works thy presence find,
and prove thy good and perfect will.
Thee may I set at my right hand,
whose eyes mine inmost substance see,
and labor on at thy command,
and offer all my works to thee.
Give me to bear thy easy yoke,
and every moment watch and pray,
and still to things eternal look,
and hasten to thy glorious day.
For thee delightfully employ
whate'er thy bounteous grace hath given;
and run my course with even joy,
and closely walk with thee to heav'n.
