MY SINS ARE FORGIVEN (Pilgrim’s Poems3)

My sins are forgiven
See from death I have risen
He has wiped away my tears
and then dispelled my fears
He’s stripped me of loathsome rags
Weaned me of ruinous fags
cured me of sin-sickness
Delivered me from wickedness.
He has given me a mark
Consigned me to make a mark
I have peace from my unrest.
‘ Cause He gave me His best.
He covered me with His Coat
of righteous and kindness
I am no more a scapegoat
He ushered me into His brightness.
