He Does Not Lead to a Dead End

He Does Not Lead to a Dead End
God led Paul to Philippi;
There he was thrashed
Battered and bruised
Put in a straight jacket
Hands and feet in chains.
But at midnight
God gave a song
He sang prayed
With Silas his friend
and out loud too.
God had a good plan
That would come
Through hardship
Maltreatment
Punishment.
But in the end
They saw souls saved
Hell was plundered
And heaven populated
To the glory of God.
God’s ways are not ours
His thoughts far from ours
So let Him have His way
It is surely the best way.
That will bring His peace.
His blessing
Your fulfilment
His glory
His joy
His light.
Joseph was sold into slavery
Ended up as a servant
But he maintained integrity
Espoused purity
Even when pushed to the wall
Joseph was maligned
And vilified
But he trusted God
And in the fullness of time
God made him a Prime Minister.
From prison he entered the palace
All because of God’s grace
The favour of God
That makes rich
In spite of ashes.
Joseph was sent ahead
Because of the famine
That was coming
And he saved many
To God’s glory.
That God remains the same
Where He would lead
No one knows
How he would lead
No one knows.
But He does not lead
To a dead end.
There he was thrashed
Battered and bruised
Put in a straight jacket
Hands and feet in chains.
But at midnight
God gave a song
He sang prayed
With Silas his friend
and out loud too.
