Born to Fly

Born to Fly
A farmer had some eggs, one of which was bigger than the rest. He left the eggs for a hen to hatch. When the eggs hatched, to his amazement one of them was an eaglet. She mingled with the rest of the chicks for a long time, pecking in the dust.
As she grew older, she often looked up and saw the big players in the sky- falcons, vultures, eagles- admiring them.
One day she tried her wings and discovered she could not only fly, but soar. After all, she was an eagle. She was born to fly!
We too may find ourselves pecking in the dust of life, accepting less than God’s best for our lives, until one day we discover ( may be after many, many years, fears and tears), ‘I am born to fly and soar. I am more than a conqueror. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. If God be for me who can be against me? (Eph1:3,1John4:4,Rom8:31,37-39)
When this happens, our flight may be truncated for a while because we are not used to it, but if we persevere we will eventually flow and symphonise with the wind current as we begin to know how to take full advantage of the upward draft and soar to lands, hitherto a dream. Adverse wind will then become a lift to us and we will welcome it with arms opened wide. What kills other birds carries us to glory. Our light affliction works for us an exceeding weight of eternal glory.(Isa40:31 2Cor4:17)
Deuteronomy 32:11-12
New King James Version (NKJV)
11 As an eagle stirs up its nest,
Hovers over its young,
Spreading out its wings, taking them up,
Carrying them on its wings,
12 So the LORD alone led him,
And there was no foreign god with him.
Psalm 103:5-6
New King James Version (NKJV)
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The LORD executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.
Isaiah 40:31
New King James Version (NKJV)
31 But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Born to fly
so much high
in the sky
My domain
even in rain
there to reign
Born to rise
From demise
Ending sighs
from the lull
and the fall
That ruined all
Born to soar
From the floor
And to tour
Lands unknown
with the crown
From the throne.
Born to lift
with my gift
Ending rift
edify
Glorify
the Most High.
Let us Pray:
Lord, open my eyes to see that I was born an eagle Christian, to fly and to soar, using adverse winds and difficulties as lifts and opportunities to my Promised Land.

Life’s greatest tragedies can be blessings in disguise.
Life’s difficulties can be God’s opportunity to bless us.
