When ‘How Long?’ Becomes Your Song
When ‘How Long?’ Becomes Your Song
1 How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?
3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of death;
4 Lest my enemy say, " I have prevailed against him"; Lest those who trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
5 But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
6 I will sing to the LORD, Because He has dealt bountifully with me. Ps13

When ‘How long?’ becomes your song
and you daily look for light
When you think you have been wronged
And you’ve lost all of your might.
When the billows of sorrow daily harrow
And your foes are daily taunting you
‘Where is your God? Let Him deliver you.’
Be still and know that the Lord is God
God is stronger, the weaker you are
Know He has engraved you on His Palm
When you think He has forgotten
Your foes may howl but they cannot harm.
Your fires will hone, prove and refine you
And you will come out shining like gold
Trust therefore in His unfailing love
Rejoice because He remains faithful as of old.
In the fullness time you will come out with a song
Raise your antennae and receive your song in the night
Have faith in the Lord. In Him be bold and strong
Remain resolute in the power of His might.
