Jesus- God’s Perfect Gift

Jesus- God’s perfect gift
To give you and I a lift
Because Jesus obeyed and came
He delighted His heart
A perfect gift to the Father He became
So the Father gave Him a name
Above every other name.

Let us be a perfect gift to God
In obedience and fruitfulness
In increasing in the knowledge of God
In loving-kindness and goodness
In being light in darkness
Being shelter to those in the cold
Bringing them into the warm fold
Speaking up for those marginalised
And so doing seeing them revived
Feeding those who are hungry
Lifting from hell’s boundary
Wiping the tears of those who cry
To show we belong to the Most High
Clothing those who go naked
So that they will not be ashamed.
