Born to Bring Life

Born to bring life;
Born to lift us all;
From the sewer and gutter;
To the place better, cleaner and higher.

Born to bring God’s peace,
That our hopelessness may cease.
Born to brighten our lives,
That we may brighten other lives.

Born to release us
from the prison-
the prison of sin.
Born to break our chains
and bring us into His train
of peace, joy and love
boundless from above.

Born to brighten our days
When we follow His ways
Born to bring beauty
In place of ashes
Born to bring humility
In place of pride
Born to bring oil of joy
In place of mourning
And praise in place
Of heaviness.
