It's Time

It’s Time

I walk along a bridge sometimes in the depths of my mind
And replay the days of my youth, of special moments in time
Back and forth, side to side, I even dangled my feet mid ridge
And watch the leaves go floating pass, like the moments on this bridge

I find myself here more and more, sliding my hands along the rails
And peering down into crystal waters, at peace my heart sets sail
I feel the timbers beneath my feet, they span time and space
And I see loved ones long since gone, light dancing upon their face

I guess it’s time for me to go; I feel drawn to the other side
Where trees stand close to the end and leaves hide a path not wide
I look across the wooden planks; at a distance they seem to glow
And I am reminded of my profession; where ever God leads I’ll go
