Disciples set ablaze by the fire of the Spirit
Going from place to place speaking with boldness
Fueled by faith in the Word and Jesus’ Spirit
Aeneas sick with palsy, sought God’s loving -kindness
Bound eight years he thought, ‘Who can help me?’

Peter was on hand and put the Gospel to the test
Seeing Aeneas believed God could use him that day
This August guest gave the sick man his best
“Rise up! Take your bed! Walk from this day.
With this good news Aeneas rose, healed, ecstatic.

Next was Saint Dorcas, the Darling generous dress-maker
Sunshine in the darkness, an example to the believers
Sick, dying, the disciples thought she would rise with prayer
They pleaded with Peter the leader of the believers
‘Dorcas was a beacon, an oasis in a desert. Bid her rise!’

Peter was pressed to put the Gospel to test again
He had compassion on them, putting out the doubters
Commanded her to rise relieving them of the strain and pain
There was jubilation, their mouths filled with great laughter.
[color:3e29=black:3e29]Another wonderful miracle that spread the Gospel like wild fire.

What He did with Peter,
He can do with you.
What He did for Aeneas and Dorcas
He can do for you.

The World sees to believe.
But we believe to see.
