John 11:4-8
John 11:4-8
KJV(i) 4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. 5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. 6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was. 7 Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again. 8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?
John 11:4-8
New International Version (NIV)
4 When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” 5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6 So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days, 7 and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”
8 “But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?”

4 Lazarus may have been dead by that would not be the finally result of this sickness. All things should bring glory to God but they will not because of sin. The Lord brought those who believe out of a sickness that leads to death, the sickness is called sin and it leads to hell but, the cure is Christ.
5 Jesus has love for us and those that love Him are so dear to Him.
6 Jesus waited two days He did this because by Lazarus’s death His power would be shown. We have come realize that our sins lead not just to sickness but to death before we can see our need for Jesus.
7 Judea this was the area Lazarus was at, it was in a city close to Jerusalem.
8 They wanted to stone Him due to Him telling them He is God. They do not have faith and because of this they thought there was wrong doing but the only wrong doing was theirs fro rejecting God. There was a treat going there sometimes where the Lord leads us will not be an easy place to go.
