Church in row with Sony over game violence
The Church of England is threatening legal action against entertainment giant Sony to stop sales of a computer game which depicts scenes of extreme violence inside Manchester Cathedral.
Sony insists it sought permission to use the interior of the cathedral.
But Bishop of Manchester, Right Reverend Nigel McCulloch, says the game is sick and sacrilegious.
"Even if it weren't Manchester, any cathedral, any house of God to be used as a context for a game about killing people - I think is just so inappropriate and offensive."
