Is fornication possible among married people?

Then all the men who knew that their wives were burning incense to other gods, along with all the women who were present--a large assembly--and all the people living in Lower and Upper Egypt, said to Jeremiah, "We will not listen to the message you have spoken to us in the name of the LORD! We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our fathers, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm. But ever since we stopped burning incense to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have had nothing and have been perishing by sword and famine." The women added, "When we burned incense to the Queen of Heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did not our husbands know that we were making cakes like her image and pouring out drink offerings to her?" The word Fornication
The word fornication comes from three separate words in the Bible, two from the Hebrew and one from the Greek. These words all share similar connotations. All of them can mean literal fornication between two unmarried persons in a marriahe contract; however, it can also signify adultery, whoredom, or an act of unfaithfulness on the part of God's people.

Hebrew word Zanah for fornication

Following are the meanings of the word Zanah:

Fornication (Pre-marital, illicit sex)
Adultery (Marital, illicit sex)
Idolatory (worship of a person or thing besides God)

The first two meanings of "Zanah" does not answer our question - Is fornication possible among married people? The third type of fornication answers our question. Involving in idolatory using the thrid meaning of "Zanah", would be following after false ministries and teachings that are contrary to God's teachings. Leaving Jesus Christ and worshiping other gods and faiths or even worshiping God using practices of other religions. Therefore, fornication is possible among married people but they fall in the third category.

How to stay away from "Zanah" fornication

Married people do fall into false teachings and due to only one reason, they do not read the Bible but rely on others to make them understand what the Bible says, like Pastors and Evangelists. Not all of them are false preachers but we may come across some fiery and good speakers, twisting the word of God and leading us into falsehood. If we read Bible, we can check, whether the person speaking, is talking of what is written in the Bible or preaching something else.

This is really a nice information and I did not know that fornication is possible among married people. It is ture as the God said at many places in Isaiah that Israel committed adultery by worshipin other gods but I never realized this. I started with a question, can married people fall into fornication. They all laughed and said why are we married for. But you had to look at their faces when I explained them. They were simply flabbergasted.

This is amazing that we have forgotten the meaning of adultery and than k you reminding us. God has always called us His bride and when we follow gods, we commit adultery. This is a nice reminder to all of us that we must even flirt like adopting other worship rituals.
