No Middle Ground
No Middle Ground
There is no middle ground as viewed through God’s eyes
No, there is no middle ground much to our surprise
Yet we try to walk a certain path or straddle a certain fence
And we reconcile our daily lives with sin filled recompense
We glory in our own successes; relying only upon self
The thought of God is irrelevant; we’ve placed Him upon a shelf
We only seek His holy hand; in turmoil or at life’s sake
We try to do it all ourselves; then blame Him for our mistakes
But there is no middle ground; only what’s right and what’s wrong
No middle ground for us to tread; the Savior must be known
No middle ground between Hell and Heaven; only a choice to make
No middle ground of works and worship; only a step of faith
No balancing act on that fence or to the beaten path we’re drawn
To God, there is no middle ground; only what’s right and wrong
There is no middle ground as viewed through God’s eyes

Re: No Middle Ground
Boy Irv, this poem really says it like it is! God means business, he will not tolerate luke warm christians. If only we felt the urgency of that, were taught that in most churches. Truly a powerful poem, and makes one stay on track! Blessings!
