I believe that the strongest influence will prevail every time WITHOUT EXCEPTION

When it comes to what we believe, the strongest sets of influence always dictate what all of us choose every time without exception. It is impossible to choose what we do not prefer. The actual choosing of it proves that we prefer it, even though we may be attracted to a different influence to a lesser degree.

The strongest influence may be a combination of the influences that have been brought to bear upon us in the past, plus the influence that is being brought to bear upon us right now. But in the final analysis, the strongest influence always prevails every time. For example, try to believe differently than you do now. You can't can you? That's because there are influences so strong that they prevent you from thinking any differently than you do. Same thing goes for me, and the same thing goes for everyone.

I am so glad that I have a God Who is in intimate sovereign control over all strongest influences, and because of what Christ accomplished for us all by His death and resurrection, through the power in the blood of His cross, God will eventually transform all of the temporary negative consequences of our responses to strongest influences into something better that they temporarily prevailed. And He will eventually do this for every fallen creature without exception.
As my 95 year old dad says, "That's what makes Him God."

Concordant Christians believe that it is God's decretive will (that which MUST occur) that we all violate His preceptive will (that which we OUGHT to do) as much as we actually do. We believe that God justly imposes accountability on everyone even though they cannot help but do what they do, because through His intimate sovereign control of how far He lets everyone get involved in sinning and suffering God is going to manifest, and glorify, and magnify the many facets of His character in a way that is uniquely applied to each individual. Contrary to what many people think, this does not cause us to live careless sinful lives because we love, and very much want to please a God like this.

The argument about “eternal hell” always ends with the words, “My Greek scholars are more reliable than your Greek scholars,” and the result is always a stalemate.

If you think it glorifies God more to let some of His creatures suffer forever, then you keep believing that.

But if you think it glorifies God more to eventually meet everyone on the level of their greatest and deepest need which is a change in their stubborn will, then know that there is plenty of evidence in the Bible that that is exactly what God is like.

You can Google up THE CONCORDANT PUBLISHING CONCERN

I think that ETers (eternal tormentors) who think it is right, and good, and just, and loving, and merciful, for God to sustain people alive in an inescapable state of never-ending suffering forever, or be annihilated, will choose to believe any and all evidences that seem to support the belief that the Bible teaches that perception of what God is like.

But URs (universal reconciliationists) who thinks it is right, and good, and just, and loving, and merciful, for God to successfully influence people so they will not suffer forever, will choose to believe any and all evidences that support the belief that the Bible teaches that perception of what God is like.

As far as I am concerned, you tell me which perception of God you see in the Bible, and I will know what kind of person you are, regardless of how impeccably righteous the behavior of the rest of your life may appear. But even though I may perceive you as being chosen by God to be a vessel of the grossest dishonor, I also believe that God will refashion you into a vessel of honor after your resurrection from the dead.

I repeat, the strongest sets of influences will always dictate what we choose to believe, every time, without exception. This is an irrefutable truth. The strongest influence may consist of all the influences that have been brought to bear upon us in the past, plus the influence that is being brought to bear upon us right now. But the strongest influence will cause us to choose in that direction EVERY TIME.

You have to believe what you believe, and so do I. Having examined the evidences that are available to us, we are both just as convinced that we are believing the absolute truth, and we will both probably die believing the way that we do now. We will all try to influence others as much as we feel we should, but within the wise counsel of His decretive will (that which MUST occur), God will decide how successful we will be.

In my life the strongest influence is the many pages of evidence that is contained in the tentmaker search engine about what a correctly (literally, not interpretively) translated Bible teaches. See the search engine at the top of the front page at
TENTMAKER

http://www.tentmaker.org/

Type in any key word or phrase from any argument and access to ten articles will appear that refute the idea that the Bible teaches eternal torment. Then click to the next page and ten more articles will appear, and so on, and so on, for many pages.

It was this information that enabled me to recover from a twelve year nervous breakdown, 1966-78, (I'm 69 now). And it gives me great pleasure to keep learning that more and more people are being helped by this same information.

Any practicing believer's influence comes from Bible and not from false teachings of websites and of people.
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ (Col 2:8)
What is hollow and deceptive philosophy? It is quite obvious that people want to see themselves forgiven without repenting. They want to make their own god who approves of their wickedness. They have a god that is pleased with their wickedness. They want to believe that there is no hell and no one is going to hell afterall God is love. But where is their love for God? Their love is in wickedness but these people think that it is God's duty to forgive them.

They would ask God to love them but they will never show love to God. Now again a question - how can we love God? Bible has all the answers
Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him and we will come to him and make home with him" (John 14:23)
Do we love God? Do we obey His commands? Does He come and make home with us? All the answers lie in your heart.

People want God to be loving and kind and yet when hard times fall on them, they blame God for it, they curse God for their misery, pain and suffering. Does God bring destruction on people or people themselves?
When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." FOr God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his won evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. (James 1:13-15)

This is the same preaching that satan wants us to believe in. This is how Adam and Eve were misled by satan when satan told them to disobey God and nothing will happen to them. It is now up to us whether we want God to act the way we want or act as He wills.

God bless you and your family

The strongest influence will prevail every time WITHOUT EXCEPTION Empty The true meaning of “FOREVER AND EVER”

Post  rodgertutt Thu 23 Oct 2008, 7:57 pm

THE ALL-IMPORTANT KEY ISSUE

The true meaning of “FOREVER AND EVER”

Greek: tormented "for the ages of the ages" a limited period of time referring to the last two ages before God consummates His plan for the ages of time to become All in all 1Cor. 15:28. How do we know that? See further on in this message.

All of these combinations are used in the Bible: aion (singular), aions (plural), aion of the aion (singular/singular), aion of the aions (singular/plural), aions of the aions (plural/plural), and aionian (the adjective).

ALL of them refer to a limited period of time.
For aionios, or any combination thereof, to mean "eternal" its noun form MUST mean eternal. It doesn’t. It is impossible for the adjective aionios to mean eternal. Aionios is an adjective. Just as the function of "American" (adj.) is to inform us of that which pertains to America (it is never greater than "America") thus also the function of "aionios" (adj) is to inform us of that which pertains to the eon(s). It is never greater than the eons. No aion is eternal. Therefore it is impossible for that which pertains to the eons to be eternal.

Therefore there is no good argument against God saving all.

Matthew 25:46 - “Aionian” or “Eternal”

"THE EONS OF THE EONS" (plural/plural) COMPARED WITH "THE HOLIES OF THE HOLIES" (plural/plural)

There are several analogous expressions in the Scriptures which should show the meaning of the words under discussion. In Ex. 26:33, tou hagiou ton hagion, "in the holy of the holies." This is similar to the "eon of the eons" of Eph. 3:21. In II Kings 8:6 we see, eis ta hagia ton hagion, "for the holies of the holies"-similar to "eons of the eons." The "holy of the holies" and "holies of the holies" refer to the tabernacle. Psalm 44:7 says, ho thronos sou ho theos, eis ton aiona tou aionos, "Thy throne, O God, is for the eon of eon"-similar to Heb. 1:8. Daniel 7:18: "until eon of the eons" and similar to that of Eph. 3:21, where a singular is followed by a plural, "eon of the eons." In these expressions we see the eons corresponding to the holies in the tabernacle.

While there are many different teachings on the types in the Tabernacle of Moses, it should not be too difficult to see that there were at least five divisions: (1) without the camp; (2) in the camp; (3) in the court; (4) in the holy place; and (5) in the holy of holies. These may be likened to the five eons we find in the Scriptures (past eons, present eon, future eons). The last eon is called the "eon of the eons," because it, like the "holy of holies," is the climax of the others. In Hebrews chapter 9, the Greek text of Nestle reads (margin v. 25), eis ta hagia ton hagion, "into the holies of the holies," and (v. 3), hagia hagion, "holies of holies."

Just as the two holy places in the tabernacle are called the holies of holies, so the last two eons are often called the eons of the eons. As the tabernacle illustrated man's approach to God, it corresponds closely with the eonian times, which also brings man to God. The "holy of holies" was a single holy place. The "eon of eons," a single eon. It was the pre-eminence of the "holy of holies," in relation to the other holy places, which caused it to be so designated. So the pre-eminence of the "eon of the eons" lies in its being the fruitage and harvest of previous eons. The same is true of the "holies of the holies" of Heb. 9:25. They may be likened to the "eons of the eons" of Rev. 11:15; 22:5. Luke 1:33 says of Christ's "kingdom there shall be no end." While the kingdom itself will not end, the reign of Christ for the eons of the eons will end when He delivers up the kingdom to the Father (1 Cor. 15:24-26).

According to the Bible any "hell" will be "kolasis aionian" which means age-during corrective chastisement.
