The Race of Hope (Hope series 14)

The race of Hope
Starts at the Cross,
When your knees bow
To Jesus as Lord;
Who knows your end
Even from the start.

It’s a race of Grace,
Yet you need to practise
Burn off the fat of fear,
Putting under, your body;
Making prayer your hobby,
Train diligently to reign.

You must lay aside all weight
Of sin, like lust, lies, legality,
Immorality, levity and lethargy.
Then and only then
Can you enter the haven
and bliss of heaven.

Focusing on Jesus, you must,
Because you are now the just.
Hearing from the Father is a must.
For the Prize, you must pay the price;
Rising and going again
And again, even when you fall.

You must see with the eyes of faith
The Cloud of witness-
The Saints Who have gone before.
You must go through the Way,
The Door and be patient
Till the end of your race.

Look to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. (Isaiah 45:22)

I loved the words in your poetry You must see with the eyes of faith.
