Rest In The Lord
O that I might rest in the Lord
In His quiet, confident, peace
Opening my heart up to Him
Awaiting Him to speak
That I might trust more in God
And sojourn within His presence
That I might don His easy yoke
To a burden much more pleasant
That I might rest in the Lord
And the gentle ease of those moments
To reside within God’s wonderful love
Redeemed through Christ’ atonement
O that I might embrace God’s gift
Freeing my soul, heavy laden
And finally meet God’s only Son
Whom I’ve spent my life evading
O that I might rest in the Lord
