As The Crow Flies

I shall not deviate,
The path is mapped out clearly, and
From now on, I will follow its design.

I’ll not glance to the right, or to the left.
I shall ignore the psychedelic promiscuity,
And the vibrant taunts –
Of colour.

Stoically dismissing adventure,
I shall enjoy the security of a monochrome existence,
Avoiding thus, the hurtful diversions and,
The painful distractions, met.........
On the scenic route.
