Lesson 10
Haiku
Haiku
Most popular definition, but there is more to haiku than meets the eye:
Haiku (also called nature or seasonal haiku) is an unrhymed Japanese verse consisting of three
unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables (5, 7, 5) or 17 syllables in all. Haiku is usually
written in the present tense and focuses on nature (seasons).
The 5/7/5 rule was made up for school children to understand and learn this type of poetry.
For an in depth description of Haiku, please visit the Shadow Poetry Haiku, Senryu, and Tanka
section. There is much more to haiku than the made up 5/7/5 version.
Heaven is my Home
Heaven is my home
The place for all who are saved
The place for the called
Heaven, place of rest
place for those who are enrolled
place with streets of Gold
Heaven, my kingdom
The place of peace, joy and love
Superabundant
Heaven, glorious place
To see my God face to face
And give him my praise
The place for all who are saved
The place for the called
Heaven, place of rest
place for those who are enrolled
place with streets of Gold
Heaven, my kingdom
The place of peace, joy and love
Superabundant
Heaven, glorious place
To see my God face to face
And give him my praise

Faith haiku
Faith is taking God
At His word without a doubt
That He’s always true.
Faith overcomes fear
The righteous shall live by faith
Faith will work with works.
With faith you please God.
With faith you can move mountains
Feed faith. It will grow.
Faith sees the unseen
Goes where none has ever gone.
Does impossibles
Faith takes the promise
Shuts the mouths of the lions
And walks on water
Faith does not fear foes
Always puts its trust in God
Walks and works with love
Faith sees God’s rainbow
Faith will see beyond the clouds
And is strong in God.
At His word without a doubt
That He’s always true.
Faith overcomes fear
The righteous shall live by faith
Faith will work with works.
With faith you please God.
With faith you can move mountains
Feed faith. It will grow.
Faith sees the unseen
Goes where none has ever gone.
Does impossibles
Faith takes the promise
Shuts the mouths of the lions
And walks on water
Faith does not fear foes
Always puts its trust in God
Walks and works with love
Faith sees God’s rainbow
Faith will see beyond the clouds
And is strong in God.
