Great Scriptures on Prayer - Part II
Answer me when I call to You, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer. --Psalm 4:1
Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my sighing. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for to You I pray. In the morning, O Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. --Psalm 5:1-3
Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping. The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer. --Psalm 6:8-9
O righteous God, Who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure. I will give thanks to the Lord because of His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High. --Psalm 7:9, 17
I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. --Psalm 9:1
Those who know your name will trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You. --Psalm 9:10 You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry. --Psalms 10:17

The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of his hands. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. --Psalm 19:1, 14
Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God his Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. --Psalm 24:3-6
To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God. --Psalm 25:1-2

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. --Psalm 37:7
I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. Wait for the Lord and keep His way." --Psalm 37:25, 34
By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me—a prayer to the God of my life. --Psalm 42:8

Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me. I cried out to Him with my mouth; His praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me! --Psalm 66:16-20
Proclaim the power of God, Whose majesty is over Israel, Whose power is in the skies. You are awesome, O God, in Your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to His people. Praise be to God!" --Psalm 68:34-35
